Who is Nathan Pringle?

Nathan Pringle is a recent graduate of the Algonquin College Game Development program and is based in Ottawa, Canada. Nathan loves all things to do with game development, as well as a love of AI. That's not all, though! Take a look at the services page to see all things that Nathan can do!

Games are about fun.

No matter what your game is about, or what genre of game you are creating, Nathan can help level up your design. Whether your game is about horror, shooting the bad guys, baking cakes, or saving the galaxy, Nathan can help ensure your design is up to par, whether that be through simple design talk, creation of professional design documents, or help with designing code.

Sometimes your team needs help.

If you're looking for some help with your code, whether it be part time or full time, Nathan can be there to help you. Nathan has experience with Gameplay Programming (with a specialty in AI), as well as Project Management. Small teams or large, Nathan can always help step your team up to the next level.

Projects and Portfolio

Here are justsome of the things Nathan has worked on:

AI Vision zones: Unity Asset

The AI Vision Zones asset will be available on Unity's Asset store in a couple of days. The AI Vision Zone asset is a user-friendly way to create realistic vision models for AI, for the programmer who is not satisfied with the simple.

Warbrand is the a 6-month-long project created by a team of 6. Nathan worked as the Project Manager, the AI Programmer, and part of the design team on this project. Warbrand is an arena-style PvP combat game, featuring four different characters. Each character has a different, unique style of play, whilst also being balanced with every other player, ensuring that the win will only come from the player who is the best at their own character, rather than advantages based on the character themselves. AI Talk: Ottawa Unity User Group

Nathan performed an hour-long talk at the Ottawa Unity User Group in February 2017. He talked about topics such as alternates to Behaviour Trees and Vision Cones, horde AI, the difference between a pawn and a player, and more. You can watch the full talk here:
